🌾 Achieving Collective Strength Through FPOs

I

The Prakritik Utthan Farmers Producers Company Ltd (FPO), established has empowered more than 450 smallholder farmers through collective procurement, market linkage, and institutional strengthening. By reducing transaction costs and improving access to markets, the initiative enables farmers to secure better prices, reduce post-harvest losses, and improve income stability. Continuous capacity-building and collaboration with government institutions have transformed fragmented farmers into a resilient and self-reliant farming collective.

🌊 Restoring Water Sources, Reviving Communities

Dharti Charitable Trust transformed degraded and water-scarce areas into thriving community water resources across three villages. The restoration created over 252 million litres of water storage capacity, improving water access for agriculture, livestock, and households while supporting more than community members. The initiative has significantly improved irrigation, strengthened livelihoods, and created long-term water security for rural families.

👩‍🧵 From Skill Training to Financial Independence

Through tailoring and embroidery training programmes, rural women have transformed their aspirations into sustainable livelihoods. Women who once lacked income opportunities are now earning independently, gaining social recognition, and contributing actively to household finances. Beyond economic empowerment, the initiative has strengthened confidence, leadership, and gender-positive social change within the community. The programme demonstrates how skill-based entrepreneurship can unlock dignity, independence, and long-term empowerment for rural women.

Integrated Village Development Program

🏡  Total Transformation of Tribal Village

For the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTG) community of Navapara, water was once a distant dream — until de-siltation initiative rewired their destiny. Year-round water access turned abandoned farms into thriving fields and fishing into a steady livelihood, ending the painful cycle of migration. Women found their voice, leading self-help groups and steering local economic growth. Over 20,000 saplings now shade a landscape that was once barren, while new infrastructure -Aaganwadi, primary school, roads, sanitation, dignity — gave the village infrastructure most take for granted. Eco-tourism is the next chapter, inviting the outside world to witness what regeneration looks like. But the real numbers aren't in reports — they're in children who no longer fetch water, farmers who harvest twice a year, and a tribe that no longer survives but thrives.

🌳 Creating Green Landscapes for Future Generations

DCT’s plantation initiative has resulted in the planting of over 60,000 native and climate-resilient trees across rural Gujarat. The programme combats soil erosion, improves biodiversity, enhances carbon sequestration, and creates protective green belts around villages. Through strong community participation and post-plantation care, the initiative is restoring degraded landscapes while nurturing environmental stewardship among local communities.

🌱 Organic Farming for Sustainable Livelihoods

Farmers who once struggled with declining soil fertility and crop failures due to chemical-intensive farming are now embracing sustainable organic agriculture. Through training, awareness, and FPO support, farmers shifted to organic practices that reduced input costs, improved yields, and strengthened market access. Today, participating farmers report nearly 30% increase in income while producing healthier and environmentally sustainable crops. The initiative is creating a long-term transition toward climate-resilient and economically sustainable agriculture.
